about me
The seed for Lynn Minney Designs was planted in 2008 when making my first bag as a gift for my sister. Since then I’ve discovered my passion to create new uses for old things like wool sweaters, jeans, vintage fabrics and buttons. I love to treasure hunt for materials at thrift stores, estate & yard sales and combine them into a one-of-a-kind accessories. I am a digital designer by day and a crafter at night (and at heart).
Born & raised in Northern New York, I was surrounded by resourceful, creative people. My grandmothers, mom and aunts all sew. I watched them create beautiful clothing, dolls, blankets, etc. from pieces of fabric and yarn. I love creating things like that as well, but I love to make a new life for old items even more! It’s just in my blood! It is a wonderful feeling selling someone a unique item know that they’ll be carrying it around for the world to see!
When I’m not sewing at home or at my FT job I can be found cooking up a storm, gardening or hanging out with my handsome hubby and feisty little girl.
